~~ Director’s Note ~~

This past year has been one for the books for sure. Our society has experienced unprecedented times; separations, remote leaning, adapted or cancelled events, mask mandates and health issues. Frozen Jr. was a great fit for this pandemic year; not only is it a beloved Disney story, but the themes are relevant to today. We are excited and blessed to be able to perform this tale to an audience!

Frozen Jr. brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical town of Arendell to life onstage. The musical features the memorable songs from the animated movie plus new ones. We have worked hard to make this a unique performance but stay true to the story we have come to love. As we explore the stories of Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf we learn: nothing is impossible, the power of family, the magical power of love (in all its forms), and that we need others. We hope these new songs, unique perspective, and universal themes find the way into the hearts of our audience. Our students and parents should all be celebrated for the hard work and dedication they have put into this production. We have had several hiccups and headaches (more so than most years) along the way, but it was handled with grace. It is no secret that putting on a musical takes extraordinary efforts and dedicated individuals. I would like to take this time to thank the production staff who have each put in countless hours to make this a memorable experience for the students as well as our audience. I would also like to thank all our parent volunteers and, of course, the students in the cast and crew. It is a true privilege to teach drama and see the growth and change of these wonderful students over the years; I count myself blessed to witness their growing talent.
